Hydraulic Switching

The pump operates entirely on a hydraulically actuated system. This hydraulic system has been proven on thousands of pumps operating daily that are conveying a multitude of materials under widely varying operating conditions. The pumps do not rely on proximity switches or other electrical devices for proper operation. As most pumps operate under harsh conditions, subject to wash down, exposure to pumped media, natural elements, or accidental blows by Operators or Mechanics, the reliability of proximity switches does not meet Schwing’s high standards for equipment availability rates.

Water Box Safety Switch

When servicing the material rams from the local control panel stationed near the water box, the local panel is set up such that a Mechanic or Operator must use two hands to actuate the material cylinders, thus ensuring the Technicians hands are free and clear of any danger.

Hardened Poppets

The Poppet wearing components (discs and seats) are made of steel, case hardened to Rc 55, for a long and reliable service life.

Hydraulic Power Pack

Each pump is delivered with its own hydraulic power pack. Each power pack is sized and designed to meet the requirements of the specific application: pressure, flow, cooling, allowable dB levels, dimensional and weight requirements, etc.

Control Panel

Schwing supplies a control package utilizing the Customers preferred PLC and networking platform. Control panels may include, per Customers request, HMI’s, motor starters, and other devices as required. Control panels are pre-wired to the hydraulic power pack unless a separate wall-mounted or freestanding unit is requested. Panels may be constructed to NEMA or IP standards as required.

• Hard chrome plated pumping cylinders.
• 25 mm water supply and overflow connections to pump water-box.
• Emergency-stop push button located near pump water box.
